.....A veting process is currently used to vet tourist/nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications for the
Department of State.
Department of State sends online visa application data to vetting system for "pre-adjudication
investigative screening."
The system vets the visa applicant and provides a response to the
Consular system indicating whether or not vetting info was
identified by DHS about the visa applicant abroad.
Applications of individuals for vet
information is identified / crossed with other agencies , and the applicant abroad is determined to be eligible for a visa, and the response is sent to the consular system.....
