I have been here for some years on a 6 month visa and have since had a child born here in the us. Is there any way I can obtain legal status so that I don't have to go back? My child is only 6 years old.

If u r married to USC and entered USA with inspection ... u can still adjust ur status here...provide detailed info....good night...Comment

yes I am married and like I said we came on a 6 month visa which expired some years ago. Since I am in the US I have had a child. I want to know how I can become legal I just don't know where to turn.Comment

Since you haven't stated so and based on other statement on your post, looks like your husband is not a USC? If thats the case, then no, there's no direct/immediate way to change your status from illegal to legal at the present time.Comment
