H4 visa

I just got my H1B visa stamped in Germany and will go to the US this month.

Can I apply H4 for my wife and my son NOW, although they will still stay in Germany for several months or ONE year?

Whenever your family want to come here, you can apply for their H4. It is not necessary that you apply now. Since, they are not coming to the United States now, so you should postpone their Visas for a while.
