Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone can answer my question. I read somewhere that if an illegal alien overstays and keeps out of trouble for 4 years they can apply for amnesty...... Does anyone know if this is the case or was it something that happened as a one- off........????

Curious, there is no such amnesty. For some who has been here for atleast 10 years, they become eligible for cancellation of deporation/removal. But they have to show that they have a qualifying U.S. citizen/resident relative that would face extreme and unusal hardship if the alein is deported/removed.

Regarding ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION & AMNESTY, I often hear the question: "WHY IS IT THAT BLACK LEADERS are IN FAVOR OF, or at least nonchalant on, illegal immigration and amnesty in view of the fact that illegals not only bring down the wages in the general population, mostly those of African Americans, but they often displace them, worsening unemployment among Blacks...?" Well, I myself not only put the question to a prominent and influential African American recently, but I also heard someone else point out on the radio a few days later, that "the long-term decline of the White population and influence is far more imperative to most Black leaders than the "transitional" unemployment illegal immigration (and amnesty) has been causing to most African Americans.... I would appreciate any other opinions and ideas as to why African American citizens who have been living in the United States since our Founding Fathers appear rather passive on illegal immigration and are not, ever, out to demonstrate against our Government's policies of perpetually catering to unpatriotic and greedy businesses, large and small - and, of course, to buy votes!
