    I got my Green card last year Dec. How long should I wait to apply for US citizenship ? And all total how much time does it take to become citizen after getting Green card ?

      if u married to a us citizen 2 more years if not 4 years

        on the back of your greencard is the exact date then you were adjusted to permanent resident (which is usually months to years earlier than the date that you actually received your card).

        Your time starts ticking from there:
        - immediate, if you're an active duty armed forces member
        - 3 yrs., if married to a U.S. spouse.
        - 5 yrs., if no affiliation with a U.S. spouse.

        Since you've got the actual card in hand, you can put in your application 3 months before the actual 3 and 5 yrs. respectively. Good luck!
