  • old crime and AOS

I have been in this country for 4 years, overstayed and worked illegally as well. Before I came here I was convicted of a petty offense crime abroad. It was a CMT with a maximum possible penalty of one year in prison. I was fined only.
Now I am facing AOS while married to USC. Because my crime goes under a petty offense exception I am admissible and eligible for AOS. On the other hand if I look on deportability issue there is a big question mark. Were I convicted of a CMT within 5 year period after admission? It all happened before I came here, but I was here several times before. Are they gonna use my previous entries to make me deportable? Or do they just check on admissibility when filing for AOS? That 1 year max penalty can make me admissible as well as deportable even it has been 5 years ago before I came here...
    Anybody experienced? Thank you....

Crimes abroad aren't considered that much "crimes".
