Processing Time for NY(Filed @ 26 Federal Plaza)

Hi,
I have filed for AOS based on marriage to a USC on October, 2002(I have received a receipt from the INS).
Does anyone know what the processing time for NY City usually is?(untill one obtains his/her either conditional or permanent resident card)
Does anyone know the filing dates for the cases they're currently working on?

We filed my AOS on February 2001 but haven't heard anything yet..not a clue. They said that processing times could be up to 24 months.

NOTHING AT ALL.

If you tried to call them and ask about the status, they'll not gonna check unless it's already been 24 months since you filed.

I filed in December 2001. I'm up to my second EAD, but no finger prints appointment yet. It's ****ing awful. Let's keep each other posted.

It's so unfair. The people that came here six months ago whose living on the other state, already got their greencard and they're just counting the days 'till they get their citizenship. Unlike us, we're still in limbo.

I hate thiking like that because it just gets me angry. At this point, all we can do is wait.....wait....and.... wait...Until something good happens. I have no clue why it's taking so long, but I have a feeling that they're under-staffed and can't afford to hire new employees. At least I have my EAD ,thank God, so I can survive, but I can't travel, though, and I'm not falling for that Advanced Parole document.

Anyone else would care to share your experience?

Update: I just found out my interview date. It's exactely 24 months after my application was received.

Yes. You said you filed Jan 2001? That more than 2 years...Did you file bases on marriage to USC?

Nope, I made a mistake..it's Feb 2002.
Darn, I really wanna go to school but can't afford the high tuition so am waiting for GC to be eligible for financial aid. NYC BCIS *****!
