  • Time Line for Interview-Letter

    Hi Friends,
It is been 6 days now since I went for my Fingerprinting with the FBI (I am a AOS case married to USC) here in Chicago. I have waited around 20 months now and I have renewed my EAD twice. Typically how long does someone have to wait from fingerprints till they get a letter for the interview with INS? Just a time line. People who recently went for their AOS interviews or with AOS experience can you guys please shed some light from your own experience with this matter? Just want to start accumalating all the documents for interview you know that is all. Thanks a lot friends. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Try Kamya.com this site has peoples experiences with all immigration issue interviews etc.

Also try searching this forum for I-485. There may already be several threads addressing your issue.

        good luck.

          Greetings Raju,
The reason it is taking time for someone to reply is coz every case is unique in its own way even within the same center/ state etc. secondly Mostly people come here during their process. very few after. ocassionally to post good/bad news. So some one with similiar situation in recent past/curently as you specified in your post takes time and luck. Anyway pls. do take AK's advise and search for previous threads and other site.

The officier takingthe prints had said off the record it's only a matter of days now, yet, it took 3 months and couple of calls and visits to local office. As many people you'll talk or read or hear as many diff stories /time frames /experiences.

I understand your anxiety from memory of personal experience. And Wish you Good.

                Hi Anita,
Thank you so much for responding. Yes you are right now that I am done with the fingerprinting I am just hoping that they call us for interview anytime soon. Chicago being big city with lot of applications move slow I think. Anyway hopefully things will move faster. Thank you

                Raju

                Hi ZabZub,
Thank you as always for your help. Did not have the chance to check out that web-site you gave me but I will soon. Thank you so much. Any luck with AP yet? If so when you leaving? Singapore right? Once again thank you so much.
