    Actually in NYC it takes anywhere from one year and a half (at the very least) up to two years plus to actually go to the green card interview. As far as Naturalization cases are concerned, it usually takes 12 - 15 months from the point in time you file until you swear in. New York is a pain in the a s s, basically.

    applied fore GC, SSN & workpermit last year may in tampa. Got my SSN and workpermit in august and got an appointment last year in december. No appointment for an interview yet.

    It doesn't take longer than one year in all ... although New York is pretty weird and you never know ... many immigrants there, you know ... all colors and shapes of them ...

    Please let us know how long does it take the whole process of becoming USCs - from the moment you file the application, to receiving notice to go and get fingerprinted to the actual interview. Then, what's the timeframe for actually getting the citizenship diploma in your hands...couple living in NYC. Thanks for your response.

    Please let us know how long does it take the whole process of becoming USCs - from the moment you file the application, to receiving notice to go and get fingerprinted to the actual interview.
