Hi,
Just want to confirm that Lord is absolutely right. Key here is keep your eyes out for the RFE and try to respond as quickly as possible (but make sure you give a COMPLETE response, or they will just issue you another RFE and you will be faced with even more delay later). RFE should come to the U.S. citizen sponsor.
Good luck.
Sincerely,
Alex Halow

You might want to contact your US Senator's office. While they can not change someone's mind or alter the legal conidtions...every little bit helps and I really feel it makes a difference to BCIS when a Senator's office takes a particular interst in a case.....even better if the Senator is on a committee or subcommittee that has oversight repsonsibilities for immigration.

It means that your petition will not be approved unless you send the RFE back with the information they are requesting as Rafael found out with his I-130. It also means that the petition will take much longer than the normal processing time. Your 180 days means nothing.
