    but i dont know what it means i call but they dont know either they say we will know when we got that by the mail so please help us


    Current Status:

    On October 14, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional
    evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in
    detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions
    about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and
    you have not received the notice, please call the National
    Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

    is this positive ? or what .... i want my bebita so much i miss her

      It means that your petition will not be approved unless you send the RFE back with the information they are requesting as Rafael found out with his I-130. It also means that the petition will take much longer than the normal processing time. Your 180 days means nothing.

        You might want to contact your US Senator's office. While they can not change someone's mind or alter the legal conidtions...every little bit helps and I really feel it makes a difference to BCIS when a Senator's office takes a particular interst in a case.....even better if the Senator is on a committee or subcommittee that has oversight repsonsibilities for immigration.

          Hi,

          Just want to confirm that Lord is absolutely right. Key here is keep your eyes out for the RFE and try to respond as quickly as possible (but make sure you give a COMPLETE response, or they will just issue you another RFE and you will be faced with even more delay later). RFE should come to the U.S. citizen sponsor.
