Probably not. The N-400 indicates that if you were supposed to register for selective service, but didn't, you need to attach a statement indicating the reason why you didn't register (in your case, that would be "I didn't know about it").Comment

At your age, I doubt that they will penalize you. I guess the main thing they focus on are : Taxes, credit history and criminal records. YOu can write down you didn't know. But now at AOS interviews most officers tell you up front. Was not a common practice long time back so many people were not aware of it. But you should be ok.Comment
