changing employer while 485 pending, can it be done

my 485 is pending, employment based.
can and how can i change employers? will the present 485 case become null and void? or can new employer carry on with it.
I am a registered nurse.
i have called the customer service and i have been given 3 different answers. I have not been able to find anything about this on the BCIS site.
anyone who can offer solid information or direct me on this ????
