      Well, I assume that you don't have employer provided health care. I have employer provided health care and I pay $21 per pay period (I get paid every week, so it's $84 a month) to cover me and my husband. We are in our 30s, non smokers, no preexisting conditions.

      My parents are in their 50s, they don't have employer-provided health care, they have preexisting conditions and they pay $650 a month (yes, that's a lot) and the prescriptions they take are not even covered.

      If you are looking for health insurance, you may want to start with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. If I had to pick between a health plan or a plan where you get discounts on services, I'd definitely pick a health plan. Maybe other people have different opinions and suggestions... good luck!
