      one more year (10+) and you may qualify for "chancelation of removal", but to Adjust your status from unlawfull to any available, you must have a basis and sponsorship (employement, family ties to U.S. citizen etc.). Talk to a good immigration attorney what options you have...

      I personally feel that any "alien" minor child brought here before the age, say, 12 should become automatic citzenship at 18 or 21 depending on academic performance, good moral character etc.
