Normally, filing of adjustment of status (I-485) is filed separately using the kind od application form but using your husband as the primary and you being the spouse as simply derivative. If you have used one application for the 2 of you,INS will not approved of your case.
If you can show that you have separate application for I-485,EAD,AP for your own, then your lawyer can do the follow up of your application.

Guest repliedMy husband was a holder of a L-1 visa. In April he received his permanent residence.
Our petitions for adjustment of status were all filed together, but my application is still pending and I have also waited for the fingerprint appointment yet.
I have a L-2 visa, which will expire on December 11, 2003.
I would like to ask you the following questions:
1 - Once my husband L-1 visa was cancelled because he became a legal
resident, is my L-2 visa still valid?
2- I'm out of status since then?
