  • J Visa Waivers

    Hey, everybody!
I need your advices/any helpful information to start with the J Visa Waivers.
I'm a student on J-1 Visa for one more year, with two-year home residence requirement, on the program funded by US Gov., recently married USC. Want to stay with my husband (it's so natural.
I'm in the very beginning of the long process and know little about everything. I took the consultation from the imm.laywer on my case and he said that "no objection" letter from my country embassy is the easiest option to try first.
I am about to start but I'm afraid to make mistakes. I need to know if I can apply for "no objection" (or any other type of waiver) now or I should wait with it until I graduate. In other words I worry if my scholarship (from US State Dep) will be jeopardized in case if I apply for the J waiver while I'm still on the program?
    Can anyone help with this?
    Thank you.
