I-140 Petition for Alien Worker -- EB1 Category

I have a question that I hope somebody can help me with. Our skating club has a Russian figure skating coach that is currently here on H1 work visa. We would like to sponsor him for a green card and are planning on submitting the I-140 form (Petition for Alien Worker) for him under the EB1 category. I know he should qualify as he has a number of international awards, etc. in the field. I have the following questions:
