In my K3 petition to Mumbai, my husbands interview was held 11/10/03. After resubmitting his birth certificate, now the embassy is indicating they are still awaiting clearance from Delhi. Was wondering how long might this take or if anyone else had to wait clearance from another embassy? My husband was born in Delhi and previously got a student visa from there, but other than that I dont know why we are still waiting almost 3 months later for this clearance.

thanks pasha, i thought i turned into a fly on the wall :-( ... mumbai embassy says our visa is pending a clearance from delhi embassy, which is where my husband was born. its almost 3 months post interview. i dont why they want it.Comment

actually all they indicated was they wanted clearance. he got the police clearance (both) and gave them in the interview. so all we know is 'clearance' ... pasha, i can still arrange the teenagers regardless win, lose or draw ..Comment

Now as per your post I think you have the same problem like my friend has... it has to be Admin Review ... and they want some kinda confirmation from Washington, DC .... Probably FBI or something like that... oh well sorry ... I don't know how much time will it take for that.... But wish you all the best .... Did I win the prize?

well his 221g should have indicated it was admin review, but it did not. mumbai has had his file since may 2003... well im venting on the wrong place.. again !! anyhow i have a contact for bureau of consular affairs, and im letting the dogs out :-)
