V-VISA

Hello,

I had petitioned for my spouse on September 2000. I had received a SRC number on September 2000. I would like to know if my spouse is eligible for V-visa by September 2003. If so,how long will it take for my spouse to receive the v-visa. I had known that they have stopped the V-visa. Does it still apply to me. My spouse is presently in India. Any advise or information would be greatly appreciated.

Check the INS site and it is clearly explained.
If you are a LPR and applied prior to 23 Dec 2000, and it is pending for 3 years, then she can apply for the V visa. If you are a U.S. Citizen then you can file immediately for the k3 in the event that the I-130 process is delayed. Cheers!

Thank you for your timely help. I really appreciate it. I would also like to know,how long will it take for my spouse to get her v-visa after the fingerprinting is done.

I gave my fingerprints in October 1st week and my V-Visa was approaved on Dec,13th.

Thank you very much Ramk567. I really needed that help. I would like to know if your from India too.Because they say the issuing time for v-visa is different for different countries. Would you be kind enough to tell me when you filed your petition and when you got your v-visa.
