  • Greencard holder's wife does not want to come to the US

How or what kind of lawyer could I hire or ask questions:

    1. A greencard holder's wife did not want to come to US, and surrandered her rights for her greencard.

    2. When the greencard holder purchased his very first little house in the US, the agent said he is a married man (he is), although he pays and support the wife all her life. Only his signature and name on the deed.

    3. Now, when he filed his tax return, he had to use the status of Head of household, and IRS did not want to give him the full refund - first time purchaser on a house, only half.
his wife has no any ID number in the US. (never been in the US)

    4. if and when he wants to sell his house, his wife will have to sign the paper which will be a very difficulty thing to do.

    5. Please let us know how could we tell IRS that the wife is never coming to the US. He shall treat as a single in IRS system.

    Thanks.

If only his name is on the deed, why will the wife need to sign anything if he wants to sell the house?

Really, that's the least of his problems. What's the point of the marriage if they don't plan to live together?

HA HA HA, what kind of lawyer should you hire? well, let me help you with this dilemma. Get one who's well known as an extortionist...err...has a good reputation in the community, one who specializes in personal injury, as this would be an exact match for the mess you are in.
