No matter whether the US invited him here or not; we should have done something to prevent him from coming - like enacting some special sort of legislation that would prevent his terrorist behind from ever touching our soil. I'm so glad New Jersey and New York were in an uproar for him trying to pitch his tent. He can take his tent, entourage and other bagagge back to Libya and stuff it all.

I get the impression it was kept pretty much under the rug. I never heard anything about it until he'd already arrived.

Still, it does highlight the inconsistencies. How many rock stars, actors and others with lots of money get into the US despite having serious convictions, known drug use etc etc? There are plenty of ways around the system ... if you have the means. For the rest of us laymen, we're stuck with the red tape.

        This is irony.

Obama makes a very good speech, but the Iranian president makes, well, a speech. Guess who is on the front page of the NYT, WSJ, Financial Times, and so forth.

If you guessed President Obama, try again.

Turn it the other way around. Every time these "leaders" open their mouths at the UN it just shows how ignorant and foolish they look on the world stage. The Holocaust never existed?? Wackos. Gaddafi going on about that JFK plot?? Crazies. Freedom of speech can be a good thing It's the Sarah Palin effect LOL

It is sad to see such an intelligent man appear to be so befuddled. I know he is 70 something, but surely he is pulling our leg... He could be a stand in for Ross Perot's running mate
