What do you mean - I take it you've had a bad experience with this? We have been able to prove that no Americans either wanted or were qualified for the position.

Linda, the process is completely false, your attorney will know it.

What I have heard that one can do in your situation is go through RIR, (reduction in recruitment), what this process entails is less advertisment requirements in order to sponsor an immigrant. This could substatially lessen the amount of time needed to get approved. Use keywords RIR, for more information on this

Sorry, Lesia, I know it's tough. I just had no idea that it could take so long. We met all the requirements and haven't heard anything for months. Anyone else out there with any insight?

Guest started a topic employment sponsorship is taking forever!

    employment sponsorship is taking forever!

Our company is sponsoring two immigrants through employment. We are a specialty construction contractor. We have an attorney handling the forms, etc., and we have advertised and been unable to find anyone, USC or naturalized, to fill their highly specialized positions. We have gone through all the motions, filed a mountain of forms, written letters and done everything the attorney has requested. What gets me is the time it's taking for their paperwork to be approved. Does anyone know how long this process can take? The lawyer says "hurry up and wait" - I'm wondering if any of you has been through this and can give me a good guess about how much longer we have to wait.
