  • HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK ALONE ...really works

Suddenly, you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home; unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. What can you do? You've been trained in CPR but the guy that taught the course neglected to tell you how to perform it on yourself. Since many people are alone when they
suffer a heart attack, this article seemed to be in order.

Without help, the person whose heart stops beating properly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness. However, these victims can help themselves by
coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough. The cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. And a cough must be repeated about every 2 seconds without let up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.
Tell as many other people as possible about this, it could save their lives!

I've seen this post and mail over and over, and it gets me rather angry:

        - the majority of heart attack victims die instantly (90%+)

        - initial "survival" is just another word for "prolonged death", most are brain dead and die within a few days (after their "survival")

        - the caughing is supposed to be interfering with the T-wave period of the heart to stop it and recharge into a normal rythm, for this condition the heart must be confirmed to be in ventricular fibralation or ventricular tachycardia... a novice would never be able to tell that, a trained professional usually needs a defribilator to confirm that....

        - miocardial infarction is usually not just an electrical problem though, but rather a "mechanical" where a long-term abuse (bad food!) in conjunction with "bad genes" caused all kinds of junk to accumalate in the arteries; this is causing the actual dying of the heart, no 10-second caughs nor this and that can reverse the damage that has been inflicted on the body and the heart for the past 20-30 or more years...

It's first grade BS to tell people they can live and eat like "pigs" and fix it during the dying moments "quickly". It's not true! Go to the city morgue and learn your lessons there and then either change your habits, stop smoking and exercise

        or

just live the way you always have and try caughing while you're dying....

I see nothing in this email that says live and eat like a pig. You wrote that fiction in yourself.
People survive heart attacks everyday... better to try and survive then resign yourself to death as inevitable because you were stupid and "ate like a pig" Your 90 percent statistic is what is BS.

Not all heart problems are from eating like pigs. Thin, seemingly healty people have heart attacks also. If this method only saves one life it is worth trying.

I say try it. You defineatly have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Coughing while you are dying is better than whining while you are dying. I agree it's better to try and help yourself.

This is a good post for this board. It's a nice break. It gets stressful in here.
