just write them a letter informing them u made a mistake if it was a minor mistake but if it is a big mistake u would be better with a lawyer.what is the mistake.

If you are applying for legalization under LIFE then it is not a minor mistake as you have to prove physical presence in the USA from 1986 to 1988.

If the last entry date is a not during the period of 1982-1988, then it's not relevant, especially if you just missed a few days (e.g., put in 7/2 instead of 7/21).
