One of the most important ICE mandates is the enhancement of public safety and the security of the American public. The broad authority of ICE allows for the identification and removal of dangerous, often recidivist, criminals engaged in crimes such as murder, predatory sexual offenses, narcotics trafficking, alien smuggling, and a host of other crimes that have a profoundly negative impact on our society.

Heartbroken: With all due respect, but just how many different threads do you need to start while whining about the same situation that you whined about in all of the others?

Furthermore, the injection of your racist attitude into the discussion is...well, unwelcome to say the least. You diverted onto some racist tantrum when nobody had even mentioned race as an issue in this discussion...especially as race is not an issue.

You have such a chip on your shoulder that your inherent racism is just looking for an excuse to show itself. Disgraceful.

What race are illegal aliens, anyway? You seem to think that you know, so please enlighten us!!

You want special treatment for your husband. If an American male falls behind on his child support payments, he goes to jail. Period. That's the law. I know many people in jail for that reason alone. Your husband broke the law AND didn't pay child support. Why should your husband be treated better than an American Citizen? And you are very quick to use your ex husband's wife and exploiting her immigration status for your personal gain and could care less about the family that she loves. You want arbitrary justice; which is no justice at all.

As far as ICE going after anyone, CONGRESS writes the laws, and ICE just enforces them. If you have a beef about the immigration laws, that's CONGRESS, not ICE.

So both your ex husband and your current husband refuse to support their children. Do you see a pattern here in the men that you choose? Don't know what State you are in but most states will incarcerate someone for failing to pay child support.

hi....i know, i dont know why my ex didnt get harsher consequences, i was told that support enforcement has to be involved numerous times, and that contempt charges have to be continuously filed. My current guy is paying support, just not the Entire 300/wk, and didnt have numerous contempt violations....My EXhusband did not pay anything for our girls for over a year, too busy cracking it up..and still no jail...idk, its a crapshoot??? He was only ordered to pay 163.00 a wk for two children too! go figure.

Just to clarify something in case anyone believes that if a guy happens to fall on hard times he automatically gets locked up. Not true.

It is for willful failure to pay. Meaning you have the means and ability to pay but you refuse to. Usually it is for an extended period of time as well. Not miss a payment or lose your job and they come hunt you down. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Depends on the State. In my state, not paying child support, even a penny short or a minute late, means instant arrest. No excuses are allowed.

That would be extreme. If you lose your job you get locked up? That really helps the situation by preventing you from working all together.

The reality is if you lose your job or your income situation changes you should file an order to show cause for support modification or similarity named request in your state. What gets a guy in trouble is assuming the state somehow knows you lost your job or you are making less. That or you think your X will take that into consideration. They never do. Cover your a$$ and get it done via a stipulated court order. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

My state is not alone in this. Just as US law has declared ALL American men are abusers, states such as California and New York have "zero tolerance" for so-called child support absconders. I know of people who have spent 5 years in jail for minor delays of support. They were not allowed to see lawyers, friends or family. They were subjected to treatment unheard of in any normal prison enviornment. Because they were guilty without trial, they had no rights whatsoever. I agree it is wrong and absurd, but that is the law today.

                              Good luck with that.

My husband and I had no luck with any Senator regarding my residency application. Only one that we wrote to even bothered to reply, but still couldn't do a thing, and that was with a 9 year marriage and going the legal route from the beginning.
