number of days???

can someone tell me wether or not processing days include weekends and holidays....reason being that my AOS case is at the National Benifits Center in Missouri and receipt date was Oct 22, 2003. Online it says cases of this kind are taking 30 to 90 days for EAD...it seems like i've waited forever...what can I do? I live in FL...

Yes it does include weekends and holidays. Since you have not yet waited 90 days I would imagine you'd have no luck getting a response to an inquiry yet but you might contact your local BCIS office to see if there is any way to expedite the EAD. Take care.

I think thats the best news i've gotten since starting this process... thanks so much for the reply...i guess i can let the employer know that after the 22nd (if I haven't gotten the EAD) that i can go to the local office and get a temporary....atleast I think thats what I can do...

USCIS counts business days only, i.e. 5 days equal 1 week. (I may be wrong).

No, you DO count weekends and holidays. If USCIS says something will take 90 days, they mean it will take 3 months. They don't mean it will take 4.5 months (90 days divided by 5 days per week).

Thank you for all your responses!!! I just found out online that my EAD got approved on the 5th of Jan 04..YIPPY!!!
now the only qestion left is when i'll get the physical card...
Oh well
I'm really excited! This company that wants to employ me has waited for me since September 03!!
