CIMT stands for "Crime Involving Moral Turpitude"...meaning someone has commited one or more offenses in a category that renders that person ineligible for a visa for the United States.
Exactly, BS! CIMT is just an abbreviation of the crime involving moral turpitude. It does not mean that the person is convicted or is removable, or something else. Stop scaring people.
To BS and Guest - read the original post...they person asked about a CIMT offense...if someone has committed such an offense, he or she IS ineligible for a visa. REad the INA someday before putting on the dunce cap and raising your hand.
You should probably do your own research. Even if a person has a CIMT it does not necessarily mean that he/she is deportable/inadmissible. It is clear in the law.
