I cannot figure out where you people get the idea you are helping our economy. You have all but bankrupted the state of Ca. You have driven down the cost of labor so that no one can get a decent pay anymore. You all make $6.00 an hour and have 5 children . And not one of you pays for the birth of your children in our hospitals. Just check the census data. The information is all there .75% of children born in LA county hospital- Born to "UNDOCUMENTED" (As you prefer to be called)aliens. NONE paid anything.There is a story in The LA Times Friday that is about the closure of hospitals in LA. And it clearly states that the reason is uncontrolled illegal immigration. It says that the lives of CA citizens are now in danger because of this. And then it says that the illegals are also causing the schools to go broke and the prisons are overflowing with them also. I think we can manage our own lawns. And we had a perfectly good guest worker program for farm help. Any thing else you do we will do for more money. When your gone they will have to pay more. So i respectfully disagree with your theory that you are "GOOD" for the economy. All the FACTS say otherwise. If you would put as much effort into changing your own country as you do in sneaking in here,it would probably be better for both countrys. At one time there was nothing here either. If our Founding Fathers had all run off somewhere where it was "easier" we wouldn't have this country today. So why don't you all start building a better future for yourselves in your own country? I am sure many Americans would invest in any good ideas that anyone came up with. And we would surely help in any way we could.

I personally pay more than $40,000 per year to the INS. I have an annual income in the neighbourhood of $150,000 / yr and I spend my money in the US just like any other American. I have 2 cars, a high-end house and a whole bunch of toys inside that home. I employ 7 Americans at my company as well as other trades at my home. HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY STATE THAT IMMIGRANTS DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE ECONOMY? My point is not to brag but to point out that you cannot make blanket statements about people. You would NEVER know that I am an immigrant. I look the same, sound the same, and act the same as any natural born American. I suggest that you spend some time studying macro economics and how it works... Who do you think are buying houses? Who do you think are investing in 401K plans? Most 'immigrants' who are a drain on local economies are ILLEGAL ALIENS, not people who are trying to conform to US laws. Your efforst should be confinded to reducing illegal immigration not complaining about the rest of us...

I am a USC, I am married to an immigrant, of hispanic origin. We have 3 high end houses, 1 beautiful little girl, 2 labs, a very succesful business, that employs over 100 ppl, both citizens and immigrants. If you think they are driving down the cost of labor, then you need to get off your a** and get a better job than flippin burgers, making pizza, or scrubbin floors and toilets! Immigrants are not all bad! You have bad ppl in all races. Hispanics are not the only ones on wel-fare. You know that as well I. I am totally against immigrants getting welfare, especially illegal ones, but we do not process the applications. Immigrants come to this country to make a better life for themselves and their family, and for some they think ohh i can take kids to the doctor for free so lets ride this welfare train until it stops! That is not right. These ppl. should be banned from getting any type of citizenship and worker documentation for the fact that welfare is not making it a better life! That is truley what i believe. There are literally hundreds of thousands of children starving in america every day, because their parents are either divorced, or drugged up or just does not give a damn! PLAIN AND SIMPLE! FOR LACK OF ENGLISH, I DID SO WITH MY PEDIATRICIAN, AND SHE *****ED CAUSE THEY WANTED $120.00! THAT IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE HEALTH OF MY BABY! IF IT WERE TO COST ME 1 MILLION DOLLARS, I WOULD FIND A WAY TO PAY IT! WELL A WEEK PASSED SHE CALLED ME ONCE MORE TO MAKE ANOTHER APPT, SHE HAS THE MONEY SHE SAYS, SO I DO WE MEET UP AT THE DRS. OFFICE, THEY ASK FOR HER METHOD OF PAYMENT, SHE PULLS OUT A MEDICAL CARD! IT REALLY HAS BEEN TWEAKIN ME SINCE I FOUND OUT SHE WENT AND APPLIED FOR A MEDICAL CARD, AND REALLY DOES NOT NEED THE CARD. THEY ARE BUYING A HOUSE, HAVE CELL PHONES, 2-3 CARS, YA KNOW, MY HOUSE WOULD GO IF NEED BE, BEFORE I LET THE HEALTH OF MY BABY GO BAD, OR APPLIED FOR WELFARE, BUT IT HAPPENS, AND I HAVE TOLD HER AND HER HUSBAND THAT I THINK ANYONE WHO IS AN IMMIGRANT IN THIS COUNTRY THAT APPLIES FOR WELFARE AND RECIEVES IT, SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A BANK ACCOUNT, CAR PAYMENTS, RECIEVE THEIR CITIZENSHIP PAPERS, OR WORKERS PERMIT PAPERS! tHEY WANT TO MAKE A BETTER LIFE FOR THEMSELVES, THEN BY DAMN IT, QUITE HAVING SO MANY KIDS, SCREWING THE SYSTEM, AND LYING! You people should learn OUR history. The Founding Fathers of this country were mostly if not all born in THIS COUNTRY. And my point was that they worked and sacrificed to make something of the place they were at. They did not run off to take advantage of other peoples hard work.I notice that no one disputed my facts. What about the illegals that came here legally and even when there status went illegal did NOT go on welfare, but finds other means to support themselves. I tell you this, I pay for my child's medical care and not through medical, he is a USC but I still do not use it. I maybe an illegal but that doesn't mean I suck the system dry, no I have other ways of supporting myself. You shouldn't categorize just because someone is an illegal, they immediatly sit on welfare and suck the system dry.

You are right. Not all illegals suck the system dry but most of them do. Our hospitals are having trouble and they are losing billions of dollars. Some are even closing. They cannot keep up giving free services to illegals. Even welfare pays the hospitals for people on welfare but not for illegals. Everyone has to pay higher costs to cover treatment for illegals but now there are too many illegals and hospitals are still losing money. So no, you are not one of those who takes free services and you have respect but the rest are the majority and it is hurting America

Janiss, you are right. There are ways to come legally and all is well. No objection to legal immigrants, just illegals who hide and no one knows they're here. Not very American. They could be snipers and no one would know how to catch them at all.

Dubious guest, get real. Immigrants came legally and did not complain about everything they didn't like. They didn't try to change the laws. They had to learn to speak English. Period. They did not bring 50 cousins. Most never saw their relatives and friends again and could not go back home to even visit. Some Europeans even had to change to change their names to an American version. There was no welfare and no free lunch. Some even wished they had not come they were so homesick. All there was was hard work and no modern toys, and they missed their families. Next, their sons were DRAFTED (NO CHOICE) as soldiers to fight in American wars. Illegals were deported immediately, no questions asked.
