  • How many watts is a good amplifier?

The wattage of the best amplifier that is considered "good" depends on several factors, such as the intended use case, speaker sensitivity, and room size. In general, a good amplifier should be able to provide enough power to drive the speakers to their optimal volume without distortion or clipping. A good rule of thumb is to look for an amplifier that can deliver at least 50 watts per channel into an 8-ohm load, although this can vary depending on the specific setup.
For example, if you have sensitive speakers that require less power to achieve high volumes, a lower-wattage amplifier may suffice. On the other hand, if you have large, power-hungry speakers or a large room, you may need a more powerful amplifier. It's also worth noting that the overall sound quality of an amplifier is not solely determined by its wattage, but also by other factors such as distortion levels, damping factor, and signal-to-noise ratio.

If you play with a drummer, for live gigs in small to mid-size venues, you should aim for a 20W to 60W tube amp or a 40W to 60W+ watt solid state. For larger venues aim for a 20W to 100W+ tube amplifier, or 50W to 100W+ solid-state especially if you're playing big stages and outdoor festivals. The UTV Speakers are always with the a lot of boss just due to average wattage and small space to boom the sound.
