I'm helping a friend of mine start a new business that I may eventually join her in if things go well. We've got everything covered regarding setting up the LLC, defining terms, and the legal and financial aspects But one area we are both fairly clueless about is business insurance. FWIW, she will be offering services to area businesses and non-profits that include classes and seminars, event planning, community engagement, and fundraising support. There is very little liability regarding physical damages, but obviously that's not the only thing insurance protects against. I've done a good amount of research, obviously, but there is SO much (sometimes conflicting) information out there. So I'm wondering if anyone here has recommendations, tips, etc for how to make sure she is adequately covered without being taken advantage of?
