I myself have worked as a tutor at Varsity. I can tell you Varsity is such a greedy and shameful company. The answers posted here are exactly right. I have asked multiple students of mine. They pay between $50/hour to $70/hour depending on the amount of hours they buy and basically impression of Varsity about their income level. But they paid me only $13/hour. I did not know this when I started and did not even negotiate. I was just in college and just felt happy I am being paid about twice the minimum wages. Later occasionally I came to know the price they charge through interactions with students. I never bridged my contract with them but it really hurt when I understood in some cases they were paying me less than 20% of what they charged. Shame on this company. They are abusing young students who know the material and are bright. They can teach but their expectation is low. Do not work for this company. I suggest you to try other online tutoring platforms. Some of them are much fairer and would pay you at least 60% of what you earn. I am so angry with Varsity. Not because I was not satisfied economically. I was considering tutoring more of a useful experience rather than making money. I am angry because they abused me. I feel used. Shame on Varsity.
