Good lord. This is the 5th time this has been asked this week.

I already answered this like 3-4 times already.

Please do a search and you'll find plenty of answers.

If absences abroad of more than six months but less than one (1) year create a reasonable presumption that a GC holder intended to abandon his residence, my question is:
1- How does INS know how long a GC holder stayed outside the US?
2- Is there a record of departure for a green card holder?
When I exited the country they just asked for my passport, not for the GC.
I wonder if when I will enter they are just going to ask how long I have been outside US or if they are already going to know somehow how long I have been out of US... but how?
