    types of bricks

Bricks are the mainstay in construction, and their use is by stacking the bricks with a special system according to the design and linking them to each other with the adhesive material for the bricks, called cement, which is very well known. before stacking. There are things that must be checked before using bricks, which are: bricks are free of coal and clay, uniform in color, dimensions are regular, ensure that they are not water-absorbent, that they pass a strength test, that they are free of cavities and decay, and finally that they are dry.

    Advantages of using bricks
The regularity of the shape of the facades of buildings, due to the regularity of the size of the bricks used in construction, length, width and height.
Ease of use in construction and transportation to the building site due to its small size and weight.

    Easy adhesion to cement.
Good fire resistance, unlike wood used in building huts, because it was previously burned during the manufacturing process.
Resistant to external factors such as rain, air, sounds and others.

    concrete bricks
Solid municipal bricks: They are bricks that do not contain internal spaces except for two circular holes, each of 10 cm in diameter. However, its use has been reduced due to its high cost, heavy weight, and its retention of moisture for long periods. It is also difficult to conduct sanitary and electrical installations through it.

Hollow bricks: They are bricks that contain artificially formed holes or voids. It has two types of light hollow bricks and its weight is very light due to the large voids in it, and therefore it is used only for special cases because of its high price.

As for the other type, it is the ordinary hollow brick and it is divided into many sections according to the dimensions of its size, and this brick is called according to the length, which is the dimension T.

    Etung pumice bricks
It is considered a lightweight brick compared to the rest of the types, and it is a good insulator of heat and sound, and its efficiency in this is equivalent to 6 times the concrete stone, and its surface needs treatment after applying a layer of plaster, and it is used in building walls and ceilings, and it is expensive.

    silicate refractory brick
It is mostly Italian imported, its main component is silica sand, and its color is white, and the materials used in its manufacture are the same materials that are used in the manufacture of ordinary hollow bricks, but it is not hollow at all, and one of its uses is to build arches and decorations because of its durability.
Ribs Roof bricks: It is a type of ordinary hollow bricks, and it is made in different dimensions according to use.

    glass bricks
It is made of glass, and it has different shapes, and it is either transparent, or decorated. It also has different dimensions and one of its uses is the construction of mortar from white cement and quartz, and it is used in the construction of iron skewers for construction because it is strong and anti-rust.

    lime sand bricks
Lime: Quick or slaked lime shall be in conformity with American specifications and standards.
Sand: The sand used shall be of the siliceous type, free of salts and organic impurities, and of good grading.
Water: Fresh water is suitable for drinking for construction due to the lack or absence of impurities in it.

    roasted clay bricks
It is made of clay and water, and then after drying it is burned in special kilns, and this type of clay is formed either by extrusion method; In this method, the bricks are made in the form of a long continuous strip that is cut to the required size using moving wires, or by the method of molds.
