    EB1 visa is a visa available to immigrants who have been able to demonstrate their extraordinary skills in their specific field, whether it be arts, sciences, business, or their other specific field, whether it be arts, sciences, business, or their other specific field. EB1 visas or Employment-Based Excellence Green Cards, First Preference is the type of permanent residence visa available to immigrants who wish to settle in the United States. [Sources: 6]

    You may be eligible for a work-based first preference visa if you are an alien of extraordinary ability, an eminent professor or researcher, or a designated international executive or manager. As with all employment-based first preference petitions, work certification is not required to obtain an EB-1B immigrant visa. Although an employment certificate is not required to obtain an EB-1B immigrant visa, a job offer from a university or other similar academic or scientific institution, or even from a private employer, is required.     Please note that EB-1A visas do not require a permanent job offer or a current job, and applicants do not need to provide proof of a U.S. employer. For Aliens with Extraordinary Ability (EB-1A Petition), an offer of permanent employment is not required and applicants do not need to prove that they have an employer in the United States, they just need to prove that they will continue to work in the area where they have they have extraordinary abilities, EB-1A applicants can file an immigration petition on behalf of themselves.     This means that the applying employer must demonstrate that the foreigner has special skills as a researcher or professor and has a permanent job offer from the employer. The employer must be a U.S. employer that has been in business for at least 1 year. Applicants for this visa must be able to demonstrate that they have been employed by their current multinational employer (or its affiliates/affiliates) within 1 of the past 3 years.     Or, if the person is already in the US on a temporary visa, they may be eligible based on having served as an executive or manager for a qualifying company during one of the last three years prior to arrival in the US. If a foreign citizen has an international reputation for excellence in a particular academic field, that person may, upon receiving a job offer from a US employer, qualify for a green card as a priority worker under the "Professors and Researchers" subcategory.     The EB-1a visa is an employment-based green card available to foreign nationals who demonstrate outstanding skills in their field, whether it be the sciences, arts, education, business, or sports.
