  • Why is Java not a pure object oriented language?

Java projects are with Spring Boot. This is extremely recent and obvious that you can't get by in that frame of mind of Java without a solid grasp on Spring Boot and other well-known Spring projects. The greater part of the tasks in Spring Boot depends on RESTful APIs. Consequently, understanding the ideas and being a proficient software engineer of such APIs is vital. Java applications with advances like EJB, SOAP Web Services, Struts, or simply center Java-based applications. Java is much more than just a high-level programming language. Java offers all the benefits of high-level OOP languages with modular software, flexibility, extensibility, and an easy development process. Java is one of the most generally used programming languages, and it is utilized as the server-side language for a vast of back-end development projects, including big data and Android development. Java is also commonly used in desktop and mobile computing, games, and numerical calculation. Java is an object-oriented programming language with a high level of abstraction and as few implementation dependencies as possible. Java is much more than just a high-level programming language. Java is one of the best and most widely-used OOPs in the market today. Java has come a long way and is widely known for its implementation and strategic development. Java is not a purely object-oriented programming language because of several key features:

Primitive data types: In Java, there are primitive data types such as int, float, char, and others that are not objects. They are used to store data more efficiently as compared to objects, but it violates the idea of full object orientation.

Static methods and variables: Java allows you to create static methods and variables that are bound to a class rather than specific object instances. This violates the basic principle of object-oriented programming, which states that operations should be performed on objects.

Arrays: Arrays in Java are not objects either. They are sets of elements of primitive data types or objects, but arrays themselves have some features that do not conform to a fully object-oriented approach.

Wrapper objects: To convert primitive data types into objects, Java includes wrapper classes such as Integer, Float, and others. These classes are designed to represent primitive data types as objects, but this creates an additional level of abstraction that can be inconvenient.

Huh, that's what I just wrote, all from memory. Recently took a course from GoIT https://goit.global/ph/newcomers/ . I can also get up at night to tell you all about programming languages )))))

The Java language was designed as a universal, platform-independent programming language. It is often considered not entirely object-oriented because it allows primitive data types (e.g., int, float) that are not objects and can be used without encapsulation within classes. This deviation from pure object-oriented principles makes Java "mostly" an object-oriented language, but not "pure" servreality.com
