Thinking like a true American

As a public service to new immigrants, I am pleased to provide the following information for you to assimilate yourselfs into our culture. You will not read this in any book and it is not covered by the Naturalization test. But if you follow these rules and guides, your experience in America will be much better.

1. True Americans vote Republican. They never vote for Democrats or Liberals. True Americans detest liberals.

2. True Americans idolize Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schearzennegger and Rudolph Giuliani.

3. True Americans detest Geraldo Rivera, Rosie O'Donnell and France.

4. True Americans have the American flag flying in front of their house.

5. True Americans believe in God, not Allah or any other make believe god

6. True Americans do not wear veils, robes or capes or any other goofy costume except at Halloween or weddings

7. True Americans laugh at other cultures and languages. The American culture is the pinnacle of human ciilization. This does not apply to rural areas.

8. There is only ONE city, New York City. So wherever you go in the world, when someone says they are going to "The City", they mean New York.

9. True Americans speak English and no other languages. This is the only civilized language and all other people should speak OUR language because it is THE language.

10. True Americans are polite and clean. We do NOT eat food in movie theatres, we do NOT have **** or dog fights, do NOT keep livestock in our backyards, we do NOT eat domestic animals such as cats and dogs or higher intelligence animals such as horses and dolphins.

Ok my 2 cents:

1. True Americans can vote for anyone that they seem fit.

2. True Americans beleive in one People, one Nation.

3. True Americans respect others religion.

4. True Amricans display proudly the American flag but do not forget their origins.

5. True Americans can wear whatever they want because they have the freedom to do so.

6. True Americans appreciates other cultures and languages. America is after all the melting pot.

7. There are many cities all around the USA. And going to the city means going to the big city close to you.

8. True Americans appreciates new languages. Depending whrre their ancestors came from.

9. True Americans doesn't hate anyone, there is no need to.

10. I somewhat agree to some of the statements in number 10. But I think we all eat popcorn at the movie theatres, we have a backyard called a farm where we keep animals for food (livestock).


But above all a true American is not shallow and certainly doesn't speak out of his @ss and act like one like Michael.

The list Michael put down reflects his own ideas, so people should respect these ideas. US of A is a country of diversity and this list reflects what Michael wants it to be. I honestly say I am in the same boat with him. I do also have to say that this list has nothing to do with true Americanism, whatnot. He is just expressing what he doesn't want to see in the US. Before you speak of Mike's education, go learn your theology, allah might mean "god" in arabic, but have you ever bothered to learn WHAT GOD?

Islamic god allah and God of the Bible which Christians worship are not THE SAME! Wake up and smell the coffee.

As you know people come to the board here to get accurate information, whether it be immigration issue or not, it should be accurate.

yes allah is arabic term for God. if arabics went around calling God "God" like christian americans do , people would think nothing of it. but becuase it is a different language they get all confused and think this is some other mythical god other than what they know.( This stems mostly from the fact that typical american does not even know that God has a name.. they think its God)

So lets keep it asthetic. It is same God, just different organized religion. just different verbage being used for the same Supreme Being.Same Being that created all the differnt types of peoples here on earth. all of us being ONE RACE....Human.

It would just be wonderful if we could put an end to ignorance. So much could get accomplished.
