  • Canadian denied entry at the border, need to apply TN

    Hi,

I was denied at the border of U.S for not having "insufficient tie to canada" for a year when I was trying to visiting U.S., it is still 8 months left. Now I got a job offer from a U.S. form.

Could I just go to the border to apply for the TN visa?

    Thanks

    Julie

What you are asking is not exactly clear... How long have you been in Canada? The TN is only obtainable at the border at time of entry into the U.S... Be very careful and sure of what you are doing... The INS will know that you were already denied entry and this alone could prevent you from getting a TN (even if you are 'entitled' to it). Check out www.grasmick.com for good information regarding employment based immigration to the U.S. from Canada... Perhaps if you provided some more 'background', I could answer your questions better...
