Beginning April 1, 2002, all applicants requesting authorization for advance parole will be required to pick up the document in person. At that time, the applicant must present a valid passport or an INS issued identification card. The applicant will then sign a log confirming the receipt of the benefit. As the New York INS reviews its processes, additional items for presentation or requirements may be added. Because of security interests, no exceptions will be allowed.
