I filed for 1 485 after marrying to a USC. Do i get the EAD and travel documents within months? and Do i have to go to the INS office to get those or they mail it? THank you.

Depending on where you live, if you file your papers in person sometimes you get your EAD on same day if mailed, it might take 3 mos. or more.If you won't hear anything from INS after 90 days you just walk in to the INS office and request for temporary permit. Being a spouse of USC, you shouldn't be waiting that long.

Travel document: use with caution. If you overstayed a visa for more than 180 days, don't use it.

i thought you have to post in your completed forms,i didnt realise you can deliver them by hand.

Some places you can hand deliver them. I did in OKC

how do you which ones you can hand deliver to.my office is milwaukee
