  • URGENT Child Citizenship Act (CCA)

I filed an I130 petition for my daughter. The NVC informed me that she may be eligible for the Child Citizenship Act (CCA). I believe the form to apply for this provision is the N600. is that right?

1.- Must this form be completed by the person applying for citizenship or the US Citizen parent?

2.- IF it must be filed by the citizenship applicant, since she is residing in Haiti, should I tell her to go to the embassy to apply? Must I accompany her or can she go alone?

    3. When I look at the requirements for the CCA benefit. Two of them said the child: "has to live in the legal and physical custody of the U.S. Citizen parent" and "Be admitted into the united States as an Immigrant for lawful permanent residence".

My child lives in Haiti under my financial care. I am not physically living with her, but I visited her in the past. Would she still qualify?

    Please give me your insight.
