    1. Getting married while your Naturalization application is pending should not delay or hurt your citizenship application.
    2. If the interview is scheduled, you can request for rescheduling, but this usually causes extensive delays.
    3. If you have the baby in a foreign country before you are a citizen, you may complicate your child’s ability to get citizenship or permanent residence. You need to talk to an attorney BEFORE YOU TRAVEL to discuss the risk of having your baby outside the US before you become a US citizen, and also the steps you MUST take to ensure that your baby’s status is protected if you decide to have the baby abroad.
