I appreciate all of you who gave advice, I have spoken more with the legal folk I have been working with and will be pursuing my case with more knowledge and confidence than before. I have deleted most of my comments so that my specific case information can not be googled. I so wish that I would have seen this post and site years ago! I am in a similar situation but, I enter the sham to gelp out a family member and they took advantage of my kindness and naevity. I am now emersed in a evil and ub=nbearable situatin with no end in site. The brother of my brother in-law was an ADA in NY, now a privately practicing attorney in NJ and together his spouse and him filed a sham abuse claim with immigration and most likely has recieved his green card by now -no questions asked.
