Travel on existing US tourist visa while green card petition is in process

My mother has a valid 10 year tourist visa that she has been using to visit us in the US for a few months each year. About 3 months ago, I decided to petition her for a green card and it has been approved and is currently in process ( submitting required documents etc.) Would there be any problem with her using her existing valid tourist visa to visit the US for 3-4 months while the petition process is ongoing? She fully intends to return to the Philippines if she is called for an interview there while she is here.
