I am writing this letter in support of the I-601 petition that I have filed for the waiver of my husband/wife; Mr./Mrs. (Name) so that he can join us, our son/daughter name and I as soon as possible. I have already filed I-130 petition, which has been approved. This separation will cause me extreme emotional hardship and eventually financial hardship if Mr./Mrs. (Name) is not permitted into the United States.

1. Introduction

My name is (Name). I was born in (City/State), but pretty much raised in the United State. I don’t know another home besides the one I have live pretty much all of my life. I obtained my green card through my father in (Year), since then I have always lived in the United States. I became a Naturalized Citizen in (Year).

My husband/Wife and I met in (Date).During our courtship we discovered that we were meant to be with each other.We got engage in (Date). On (Date) we got married through the court house and exchanged our vows to be witnessed by our close family. On (Date), I gave birth to our son/daughter (Name).Becoming parents made encouraged us to be good parents, provide a lovely home and a caring environment in which our child felt safe and secure.Knowing this made us take the important decision to legalize my husband’s status in the United States. We knew this was going to be heart breaking to our family if separated, but it would in you best interest.

1. Family

I have very strong ties and full support from my parents and siblings. We frequently see them during the week and in family events. Even though I have their support I can’t always depend on them for the reason they have things to do such as attend my siblings school activities and they’re also involve in sports. If I’m forced to relocate that means our communication and contact would be limited. Another thing it will be really hard to afford around ($) round trip from Mexico to the United State back and forth to come and visit my family.

I’m currently attending Behavioral Medicine Associates, Inc. for counseling sessions. I seek counseling treatment for the reason that knowing with legalizing my husband status in the Unites State would be difficult during his deportation and also the unknown period that he will be deported. Going to seek counseling has helped me not go into a depression or anxiety attacks, specially having my little one. Being without my husband it would be hard emotionally and financially. I decide to seek help before the situation got worse and started attending a counseling session to help me deal with it. Even though attending the counseling session it hard because I have to be realistic that it going to take time for his legalization to be complete. I will continue with my counseling session until our family is back together and things can be back to normal. Being a single parent is hard for the reason that you will have to be father & mother at the same time.

1. Financial

We recently became homeowners, accomplished the American dream with this being accomplish comes added expenses. Our mortgage loan is ($) monthly, Utilities are anywhere ($) to ($) monthly, my car loan is ($) monthly, my car insurance is ($) monthly, and my credit card payment is ($) monthly. If I would have to relocate that would mean I would have to sell my house. By doing this my dreams of becoming a homeowner would be lost. I would also to lose my car or sell it for what I owe on it, and lose out on how much I have given already.

The following is my budget for the rest of the year. The money I have left over I will have to use it wisely to buy groceries, diaper, baby wipes, gas for the vehicle, clothes, and toiletries. I also have plan to save money if a emergency come up just as if my vehicle breaks down to be able to pay for the repairs since they won’t be any payment option or something breaks or need maintenance in the house paying someone to repair it also buying the parts that needs to be repair.My budget will be like this for the rest of the year, I would not have enough money to able to buy my son a gift for his birthday nor a Christmas present.

1. Employment

I worked at (Compay), part/full time while going full/part time to school. I graduated from college with by (Degree) in (?) in (Date). I’m currently employed with (Company). I started working here in (Date) to present. By finishing school it gave me the opportunity to work for this fabulous company. I’m the (Position) for the store located in (City/State). This is a perfect job everyone would like to have. It consists of Monday thought Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Its every other Saturday, work thought the month. If I have to work on Saturday, I get a day off during the week. Another reason why this job is a perfect job is for the reason is a killer one, where we have to be standing all full shifts, out in the hot or cold weather.

1. Violence In Mexico

Mexico has always had a problem with drug, gang related violence, kidnappings, police and government corruption and abuse, discrimination based on religion, sexual violence against women and human trafficking. But it has increase since December 1, 2006 when President Felipe Calderon took office as the President of Mexico. During his whole campaigning he said he was going to launch a fight with the drug cartel. This battle started since December 11 2006 when President Calderon sends 6500 troops to Michoacán to combat violence. Since then there has been many thousands of people killed innocent and people involve in the violence. At least 259 U.S. citizens were murdered in Mexico from December 2006 to February 2011, including several targeted U.S. government employees, the fraction of U.S. citizen deaths in Mexico that are due to violence (cartel-related or not) has risen from 23.7% in 2003-2005 to 32.6% in 2008-June 2010 (based on U.S. State Department figures, which may be incomplete). Since 2010 the violence has spread to other regions, in 2011 new areas where also hit. According to Mexican government statistics, fatalities from fighting between drug cartels combat between cartels and Mexican authorities, and other drug-related violence has risen from 2,826 in 2007 to 15,273 in 2010. Partial figures issued in January 2012, showed that 12,903 people had been killed in violence blamed on organized crime from January to September 2011. Added to the previous overall total, this means that 47,515 people have died in the five years of Mr. Calderon's presidency. Even though th4e rise in murder from 2010 to 2011 was only 11% in earlier years the killing rose to 70 %. Mexico is presently confronted by a significant challenge. Clashes among drug cartels with highly sophisticated operations present a growing threat to Mexican government and society. In the worst case scenario, the number of drug related homicides will continue to increase over the coming year, with continued spikes in locations previously unaffected by drug violence and a growing number of officials and ordinary citizens caught in the crossfire. Even so, any further increases in violence could result in more severe damage to the Mexican economy, internal population displacement, and negative impacts for neighboring countries in Central America. Mexico’s drug war is far from over. Nor is it even clear that the worst has passed. Indeed, the start of 2011 seems to herald a continuation or increase in violence in the coming year. One of the biggest suggests that United States Citizens avoid using public transportation, open access ATMs and free highways. Mexico is a dangerous place to live. It is unlikely that I could do so with success and this would result in significant harm or possibly death to me and my future children. I am terrified of the possibility of living in Mexico.

Guanajuato is located between San Luis Potosi, a Zeta enclave, and Michoacán, home of La Familia Michoacán. Guanajuato is known for its leather export and beautiful tourist place. It was recently become another urban organized crime battleground. In Guanajuato has a thriving “narcomenudeo” or illicit retail drug sales market. Domestic hard drug use, once a rarity in Mexico, has been a rapidly expanding phenomenon as inexpensive cocaine and methamphetamines leak out of the trafficking pipeline headed north and saturate entire areas of the nation. Since the 1990’s the organization crime “Plaza” had been under the control of the Sinaloa Cartel and Chapo Guzmán. In 2008 the control of the “Plaza” was left to La Familia Michoacán. Hundreds of killer and drug dealers from Michoacán invaded Guanajuato to take over the state’s criminal underworld. La Familia Michoacán enter Guanajuato to create a buffer state that would serve to protect the people of Michoacán from their mortal enemies, Los Zetas. The violence took off when Los Zetas entered Guanajuato to try to get to Michoacán. In 2008 there were several clashes between the two groups in the streets of Guanajuato. Los Zetas from the states os Zacatecas and Tamaulipas were sent to take control of Guanajuato. Guanajuato had a very difficult year and half until Los Zetas withdrew in the late 2009 and early 2010. Guanajuato police force will need all the talent and skills it possesses because it seems Los Zetas have return , poised to again fight the control of organized crime in the state. Their presence has already led to a series of execution that have reignited the dispute between Los Zetas and La Familia Michoacán. There are several reports of probes by Los Zetas hanging around the region. These are the first attempts, a war of attrition waged by several bands of criminals already operating in Guanajuato that have joined with Los Zetas, support by a few reinforcement sent from other states. They have already found at least 145 illegal drug outlets in home. The two common drug sold are marijuana and cocaine. The population most in risk of falling into drug addiction is found in the age range of 12 to 34 years.

The following are a map of how the violence has been spreading to the South State of Mexico.The first map show the killing by state in the year of 2010, next map showed the influence that cartels have through Mexico at the beginning of the years 2012. The last charts show the reported death in Mexico by state and year or by state and months of the year.

The last are picture of some local people from out town in Guanajuato that were arrested and dismantle of a kidnapping ring.These people had at least two kidnapping perpetrated against an equal number of young residents.The special unit for combating abduction of the office of special investigation was informed in 2011 of committing a couple of kidnapping. The other three pictures are about a killing of a young man who was killed in the same town as my husband is currently staying with his parents. The killing is still under investigation but my husband/wife name and I his/her wife/husband are terrify after knowing his happen a few step away from the young man house, which is not far away from where my husband/wife is currently at.

1. Summary

I slightly remember but when my father was separated from us for the same reason but instead he was the one legalizing my mother and I.I was around six or seven years old when we were living in Mexico. It was just my mother, younger sister and I living in a small house. The house was two rooms, one room was the bedroom, the other room was the kitchen, dining room and the living room. The rest room we had to walk to the back it was an outhouse.I that every time a train or airplane pass by I would say it was my father. My mother would tell me yes it was so she won’t upset me. After a while I notice that my father would not come home so I would ask again. My mother answer was that he did not come home since he was working for the reason that he would buy us a car and help us built a better house. I would answer that I prefer him here with us instead of a car or a better house. Going through my husband legalization bring back this memories which I don’t want my son to go through. I would like to avoid any suffering of my son missing his father.Going through this situation of legalizing a parent is one thing I can relate to many more children suffering without one parent. A situation like this I don’t even wish it to my worst enemy.

1. Conclusion

If my husband/wife, (Name) is denied permission to return to the United States, you will be placing me in an impossible dilemma and my entire life will be impacted.
