how long till approval?

I have filed for marriage based AOS in march of 05. My interview was completed ages ago and so was my FP. I have recently received a notice that my FP results are been received (after a year). With both my interview and FP over, how long does it take toreceive an approval notice.

I am due to volunteer for a medical mission in may of 07. I need to know if I should apply for advanced parole in order to travel.

I would appreciate any thoughts...
