  • Visiting Canada

Hi, I have been granted an asylum status in the US, and would like to visit Canada for a week or two. Do I need to get a visitor visa or would my travel document along with the asylum documentation be sufficient.

    Thank you.

A visitor visa is only for people visiting the U.S. If you have been granted Asylum AND have a refugee travel document you can travel to and from Canada.

Note if you just have an asylum application PENDING you must get advanced parole before you leave the U.S.
