Is it entirely out of the question for an immigrant to vacation in Canada just long enough to have a child there. Then using the child's Canadian citizenship to better his life and potentionally as a gateway for his parent's own entrance into the country?

it can be done. Alot of people do that in the US, but in US the kid cant sponser till he is 21 though...Comment
