I just got a notice from BCIS to go and get my fingerprints taken again. I had it done 7 months ago for my EAD. Is it a common procedure to get new fingerprints for the actual approval of I-485?

The finger prints are good for 6-18 months. I just recently had to have mine redone after 18 months.Comment

The second pair of fingerprinting is for the background check. Standard procedure.
