  • Something to Think About: U.S. Farmer Can’t Find U.S.Citizens to Replace Immigrants

As the annual sweet corn harvest season ends, Colorado farmer, John Harold has learned something very interesting as it relates to the immigrant labor work ethic.

When the season started in July Harold decided not to hire legal Mexican migrants with a H2A visas but opted to hire locally.

That is because so many are on welfare. Dem EBT cards be accepted at Mickey D's.

Nothing to do with that fedNUT. Americans simply won't take that kind of job. They haven't for decades. This is old news. That's why immigrant labor (legal and illegal) have been hired to do these jobs.

The stupid and ill-thought out anti-immigrant law passed in GA will be an own goal. As Americans won't be taking up these farm jobs any time soon and illegal labor is effectively pushed out of GA, my prediction will be that GA farmers will either go bankrupt, mechanize their operation or move it elsewhere none of which will provide jobs for GA residents as proponents of the bill argue.

America has a huge population of spoiled overweight (FAT) white people who have a superiority complex, that would be more than happy to deprive a starving Mexican of a low paying back breaking job.

          What’s the problem?

Brit is so dumb. If there was no welfare for the lazy, they would have to work or starve.

I guess Brit prefers the EBT card to working.

FedNUT is dumb. With 9.1% unemployment nationally many aren't able to get work. No welfare would mean they would starve and die. Somewhat at odds for a country that prides itself on caring for its own.

If there was no welfare they would be hanging you from the tallest oak tree for justice.

Welfare is a good program but the misuse is more by Americans than by immigrants. Deal with the problem of abuse, not a small subgroup that might misuse the program.

11 million illegals here, 7 million working. There is plenty of work for the lazy EBT card immigrants.

You seem to forget the Depression when poor whites picked crops in California. They did it because they had to eat. If you can just swipe your EBT card, you ain't going to work in the fields. But if we take Brit's EBT card, then him and his friends got to work or starve.

                    Swipe Yo EBT. Don't work

But citizens aren't all whites, many non-whites have been born or naturalized since the Great Depression. Normally, non-whites would more readily pick crops, whites would have second thoughts. They think they're more superior.

In Alabama and other southern states, criminals on parole have replaced the illegals. Moreover, every able body who's on Welfare should be forced to work instead of procreating and bleeding the system.

Work or starve. That should be the rule. The problem is that Don Fernandez and Brit want lazy Americans and legal immigrants to remain on welfare and let illegals do the work.

I say make welfare recipients work. Labor problem is then solved.

I think it was fedNUT who shouted "yeah, let them die" the other night on the GOP/Tea Party debate
